Pilates is an excellent way of restoring and refining muscle balance in the body. Through various mat exercises and with the use of specialized equipment, Pilates helps stretch tight muscles, and strengthen weaker ones. Pilates places special emphasis on breathing, core strength and the mind-body connection.
Many people want to try this form of exercise; however, feel intimidated by large studio classes, or have an injury or condition they don't want to aggravate. Others just want the peace of mind that they are doing the exercises right. At Balance Health & Physical Therapy, we are able to offer Pilates - based programs, taught by Certified Pilates Instructors.
Your first session will involve telling us about you, and any relevant health history. If necessary, assessment and evaluation of your injury site will occur. Based on this assessment, an individualized program will be developed for you.
If you enjoy exercising with a work-out partner, but would like the benefits of a more personalized program, consider a Semi-Private Program. With a Semi-Private Program, you and your partner will receive an assessment, and then a comprehensive program will be developed for both of you.
